Christmas break is here! Finally! We finished today and I have almost two weeks off. Even though I know it will go quick, I am ready for some much needed rest and relaxation with the family. It has been such a crazy month with finishing up with school, building the house, and all of the issues with grandpa. I don't know if I'm coming or going. Even with everything going on, Christmas is in full swing at our house. The kids are so excited! We had Christmas this past weekend at my parent's house and we're headed to Kentucky for celebrations all day tomorrow. We have a busy week ahead of us.

Grandpa is still at the OVM and stable. We have had trouble with getting him to respond and open his eyes, but every day is a little better than the day before. We are taking baby steps and staying optimistic that things will turn around for him. Compared to yesterday, things are not much different, but compared to Sunday, he's doing a little better. Just one day at a time. This will be a hard Christmas with Grandpa being so ill and our first Christmas without my Grandma Seesholtz. Here is a picture of the kids at the OVM with grandma and grandpa when he went to the OVM for the first time several weeks ago.

I havn't given a house update in a long time!! Things are going right on schedule. We are scheduled to be ready for move in by middle to the end of January. We originally thought it could be sooner, but we're back to the original date. The brick is finished and the drywall is up. We should be painting and having the trim put up very soon. I'm not sure how much will be accomplished this week and next week with Christmas and New Year's, but we hope to make some progress to have a more definite date for January. We aren't in any hurry, but are excited to see the final outcome. Here are some pics from the outside. The brick still needs to be cleaned down, but it is really coming together.
