VBS

Oh my what a week!!! Last week was Vacation Bible School at our church. Alex & I were both volunteers for the week, so nonetheless, we are exhausted after being there every night for like 3 hours! However, we wouldn't have it any other way because the kids had an absolute blast and we were able to share in the excitement with them. Alex helped out with the girls' group and I was with Collin and the preschoolers. It is amazing just how much even the littlest kids can pick up in short period of time. The theme was Pirates of Galilean. The kids all knew that Jesus was supposed to be their Captain. All week, they made crafts to become their own little pirates and then we had a big closing program for the kids to show off what they had learned.

Check out the hands in the pockets...he just cracks me up!

"Graybeard" AKA Scott (Scott does a fabulous job and the kids absolutely love him. He was my youth minister, baptized me and married Alex & I....he's pretty special)

My three little pirates! Arrrrrgh!

Collin isn't so sure about "Graybeard"

We recently had a patio poured in our backyard, so we have been enjoying our new fire pit with smores on cool evenings! Gotta love quality family time!
